Roofing Contractor

It is important for homeowners to replace their roofs every 20 to 25 years to ensure protection against water-related damages and other natural causes.  Whether you’re looking to repair your current roof or replace your roof for a remodel, no task is too big or too small for Holland Homes.

As experienced roofing contractors, we are skilled in all roofing repairs and replacements, and pride ourselves on making your home the best it can be.  We will start with a free consultation and complete your roofing needs in a timely manner, as cost effectively as possible.

Six warning signs your roof is in need of replacement:

  1. Your shingles are curled or buckling. If you notice shingles that face direct sunlight are curling and losing granules, it could mean they need to be replaced.
  2. Missing shingles. Missing shingles indicate a defective roof and need to be replaced immediately.
  3. Roof valleys. Rain and snow flow through valleys and into gutters. If the valley is compromised, you risk having leaks in your roof.
  4. Daylight through the roof boards. Check your attic to see if there is any daylight coming through the roof boards. It’s also important to check the insulation for moisture.
  5. Uncertainty. If you cannot remember or do not know when the roof was last replaced, it is likely you need an inspection.
  6. Insurance. If your insurance company says a new roof is needed for your home, call us for a consultation.

We work with the following roof types:

Asphalt Shingles

  • 30 year Architectural Asphalt Shingles
  • 25 year Three-tab Asphalt Shingles

Going Above and Beyond

Home Renovation
  • Ice and water shield is an extra underlayment that prevents leaks in potential problem areas. We install ice and water shields in shallow pitch roof areas, or areas where several valleys meet and there is a high concentration of water.
  • A cricket is a structure designed to divert water on the high side of the roof around the chimney. A cricket will be constructed around chimneys to prevent water from pooling and causing leaks. If your roof does not currently have a cricket, it is only a matter of time before you could have a leak.
  • If your chimney is currently leaking, or if we detect possible problem areas where the flashing is failing, we will reflash your chimney.
  • Continuous shingle over ridge vent will be installed.
  • Ridge Vent Standard: A ridge vent is an important part of a roofing system. When installed at the peak of a sloped roof, a ridge vent creates a convection flow and allows warm air to escape from the attic. A properly installed ridge vent increases energy efficiency and prolongs the life of your roof.
  • Metal Valley Standard: Metal roof valleys are durable, and in areas that receive heavy rain or snow, their smooth surface allows water to run off quickly so build up will not occur. Most metal valleys are also strong enough to resist damage from hail and falling tree limbs.
